Description
The Portwest FR28 is a lightweight flame-resistant coverall for work involving heat, flames, or welding sparks. It is made from Bizflame Work, a flame-resistant fabric with anti-static properties, and at 280 grams per square meter, it is noticeably lighter than the heavier coveralls in the same series.
The fabric consists of 99% cotton with 1% carbon fiber and provides protection against radiant, convective, and contact heat. You have ten storage pockets, including a ruler pocket, a sleeve pocket, two patch back pockets, and two-position kneepad pockets. The action back provides freedom of movement, the cuffs are adjustable with hook-and-loop fasteners, and the two-way zipper opens from both the top and the bottom. The fabric has a UPF 40+ rating and blocks 98% of UV radiation.
The coverall is certified to EN ISO 11612, EN ISO 11611 Class 2, and EN 1149-5, and is suitable for use in an ATEX environment.
